It’s time to think about getting your yard ready for spring!

Spring Ready Services Include:

  • Pruning bushes and trees: All plants will be pruned according to their need and or your request. This may also include any fallen tree. We will check tree stakes that they are firm and have not been loosed from the winds and rains. We also don’t want the stakes too tight so as to squeeze the trunk. We can also remove any tree stakes that are no longer needed.
  • Clean up: After all pruning, the debris will be removed, and the yard cleaned with a blower.
  • Replace plants that have died or are not doing well.
  • Check drip irrigation: (This takes time) We will upsize the emitters to the next size. For example, on a new landscape install we use ½ gal emitters for 1 gal plants, and 1 gal emitters for 5 gal plants. After two or three years we have to dig them up literally, they become buried due to the plant’s growth. Then we cut the emitter and replace it with the next size up and re-stake it back out to the new dripline of the plant. It can be a day process!
  • Apply preemergent with fertilizer to prevent weeds and give plants a strong start and good bloom. Merit is applied to Crape Myrtles or Roses that are susceptible to Aphid.
  • Mulch or bark is important as it conserves moisture, keeps the roots of the plant’s cooler in the summer months and protects the drip from exposure to the sun. The constant exposure to the sun breaks the drip down sooner. So, it is important to always keep the mulch over the ground.
